Our 2007 Annual Spring Dinner Was a Complete Success!
66 Museum Association members and friends attended our Annual Spring Dinner on May 11 at the Methodist Church in Frostburg. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and was enlightened by Karl VanNewkirk's presentation "Cumberland: Gateway to the West." Thanks to those who could attend as well as to all of you who chose this time to renew your Museum Association membership.
2007 Annual Museum Association Business Meeting at the Frostburg Palace Theatre on June 28
The historic Frostburg Palace Theatre will be the venue for our annual business meeting on Thursday, June 28 at 7 PM. The meeting program includes light refreshments and a screening of Frostburg 16mm Memories: four recently discovered reels of film showing daily life in Frostburg in 1938! These films have been transferred to a modern DVD format for preservation and will be shown on the Palace Theatre screen using modern equipment.
On the meeting's business agenda, as every year, is the chance for members to nominate and vote for new members of the Board of Directors. Also up for vote are some bylaw changes, which you can read about in detail at our Bylaws Page.
By the way, this year is the 30th anniversary of the Frostburg Museum Association!
